ADHD

ADHD is a long-standing pattern of attention, organization, impulse-control, or activity difficulties.

  • Knowing what to do but struggling to begin
  • Losing time, items, instructions, or the thread of a conversation
  • Working best only when something becomes urgent
  • Restlessness, interrupting, impulsive decisions, or emotional frustration

A clinician looks for childhood evidence, symptoms in more than one setting, functional impact, and overlap with sleep loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, or medical issues.

Use one visible task list, break work into the smallest next action, reduce competing cues, protect sleep, and bring childhood examples or school records to an evaluation when available.
