Clinical Philosophy

Psychiatric care with a broader clinical lens.

This page outlines my professional care philosophy and areas of interest. Claridad is not providing care through this website.

Psychiatric symptoms do not happen in isolation.

My integrated-care lens recognizes that psychiatric presentations cannot always be understood through neurotransmitters alone. Sleep disruption, metabolic dysfunction, inflammation, hormonal shifts, circadian rhythm disruption, nutrient deficiencies, chronic stress physiology, and gut symptoms may all sit underneath or alongside mental health concerns.

This is not a replacement for conventional psychiatry. It is a broader, whole-person lens intended to complement evidence-based psychiatric evaluation, medication management, therapy collaboration, patient education, mindfulness, coping skills, and mental well-being.

A professional philosophy built around clarity, education, and collaboration.

Guiding principles

  • Evidence-based psychiatry remains the foundation
  • Education helps patients understand their options
  • Therapy collaboration and skills matter
  • Culture, family, and lived experience shape care
  • Mind-body contributors deserve thoughtful attention
  • Substance use and alcohol concerns should be addressed without shame
