Community

Culturally aware care for diverse communities.

Claridad is being developed with Southern California’s diversity in mind, including future support for Hispanic and Latino mental health, stigma reduction, education, substance-use awareness, and family-aware care.

Where people come from shapes how they heal.

Culturally aware care means more than translating words. It means understanding family roles, stigma, faith, immigration stress, military service, work pressure, generational expectations, and the ways people learn to survive before they learn how to heal.

Some cultural patterns can be protective and meaningful. Others can become harmful when silence, shame, emotional avoidance, or untreated substance use are normalized. Claridad’s future direction is to honor what gives people strength while making space to question what may be keeping them stuck.
